- Check Windows Firewall - add allowed rule for the port
- Verify router port forwarding - forward to correct local IP
- Ensure the application/server is running
- Check if your ISP uses CGNAT (carrier-grade NAT)
What is CGNAT?
Some ISPs share public IPs among multiple customers. If you have CGNAT, port forwarding won't work. Consider getting a static IP or using a VPN service with port forwarding.
